About CHC - NCA

Community Health Charities of the National Capital Area is a federation of America's premier health organizations that have joined together to raise charitable contributions in the workplace.  Employee donations are used to support these member charities and provide research, patient services and outreach in local communities.  Employees designate the charity or charities where they want their donations to go, and that’s where they go. 
  

By partnering with local employers, Community Health Charities connects employees to health and wellness information, volunteer opportunities and the ability to direct donations to the local health charities of their choice. We currently provide access to 33 leading charities, encompassing almost every well-known disease or disability and many lesser-known ones.

  
Our Mission:

The mission of Community Health Charities of the National Capital Area is to enhance the operations, programs, and services of its member health-related charities through access to workplace giving and to provide employees at work sites access to the full range of information, services and referrals provided by member charities, in order to improve the health and well-being of employees and to encourage community involvement.

Community Health Charities of the National Capital Area currently supports 33 local health charities, all of which are doing important work to improve the health and quality of life of those living in National Capital Area.  It is likely that every employee – or someone they know or love – has been affected by at least one of these worthy causes.  
  
Community Health Charities is partnered with some of the best employers, those who give their employees the health choice. The potential for growth is limitless as more employers realize the value of choice and make us part of their workplace giving campaigns.  
 
Community Health Charities of the National Capital Area is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.  The Board of Directors is made up of community volunteers from the business and non-profit arena. 
 

CHC of the National Capital Area has a highly experience staff, with years of experience in the organization and implementation of employee contribution campaigns and health education programs.  CHC-NCA staff also help coordinate local volunteer projects through our member health charities.
